Sigma Nu Fraternity was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington. Sigma Nu currently has nearly 180 active chapters and colonies on college campuses throughout the United States and Canada, and has initiated over 214,000 members since its founding.
The Mu Xi Chapter of Sigma Nu here at Columbus State University was founded in 1996. Since it's founding our chapter has become one of the leading Fraternity's on campus. We are very involved on campus as we serve as Presdient over IFC and Greek Council. We also are highly recognized by our involvement in all intramurals on campus as we are always contenders to win, and we give our school athletic teams great support by attending all home sporting events. We are also involved off campus as much as we are on on campus activities. Every year we do our best to help our local schools, charity's and other organizations by volunteering and giving help were evers needed. And so that one doesn't think were all about work we are also known for throwing great parties on and off campus.
As a chapter it's our goal to to tranform young boys into successful men. Sigma Nu upholds three ideals which are "Love" "Truth", and "Honor". By upholding these ideals we teach our members how to become great leaders as well as great men. So if you think Sigma Nu might be for you feel free to contact us and see first hand what we are about.
